What Is Internet Data Exchange (IDX)?

IDX is a brokerage or agent website that is consumer facing, where consumers can search for listings. Participation in IDX is voluntary, and contains the vast majority of listings.

IDX affords MLS Brokers the ability to authorize limited electronic display and delivery of their General Listings by other brokerages. You will see IDX data being used on public brokerage website that include listing search and display functions. Listing data displayed from our MLS include active and sold listings; however, sold price is not available.  While there are no requirements for consumers to register before seeing IDX listings, some displays may choose to do so.

Each IDX website must meet certain compliance checks that conform with our MLS Rules and Regulations (Section 18) and TREC's advertising guidelines. These compliance checks are monitored and approved by SABOR staff. If you or your vendor are interested in getting an IDX data feed please contact IDX@sabor.com
